Admission Procedures
Parents receive an Application Form and an Enrolment Policy outlining the admission procedures in the school when seeking a place in St. Cillian’s N.S.
The parents of children enrolling in the school are invited to meet the class teacher prior to new pupils enrolling in the school.

Timetable
School hours are 8:50 to 14:30 for senior children (1st to 6th class). Infants are dismissed at 13:30. A school calendar outlining closures for the school year (September to June) will be available in June.
Punctuality and good attendance are encouraged.
Mid-morning break is 10:30a.m. to 10:40a.m., while lunch is from 12:00p.m. to 12:30p.m.
There is a healthy eating policy in our school (see Health and Safety Policy). Children are encouraged to adhere to this policy. Free packed school lunch is provided daily. Lunch can be selected via an online menu.
Uniform
The uniform consists of grey trousers/skirt, blue shirt, navy tie, grey v-neck jumper/cardigan, black shoes.
Tracksuits are worn on P.E. days. This consists of a navy cotton top and bottoms and a blue polo t-shirt.
Crests are worn on all jumpers/cardigans and tracksuit tops.
School Policies & Plans
School policies and plans cover organisational and curricular areas. Organisational policies will be provided for parents on enrolment of their child while policies and curricular plans are also available on request.
Parents’ Association
Parents Association meetings are held throughout the school year. All parents are welcome to attend and contribute ideas for school fundraising and events. Dates are advertised on the school noticeboard.

Since 2015, the Parents Association has raised over €10,000 to refurbish our classrooms. Stylish and practical storage units have been installed. We, as a school, are extremely grateful for all the voluntary work and efforts of all involved.
Communications
Formal parent-teacher meetings take place annually at the end of October/early November. Parents are encouraged at other times to meet the teacher/principal by appointment to discuss any concerns regarding their child.
Parents receive notelets informing them of upcoming events, trips etc.
Parents will receive an end of year school report in late June.
